ABOUT KAYLA STORLID

Kayla Storlid is an independent children's music artist and founder of We Were Little LLC.

Her short, story-driven songs draw inspiration from real childhood moments—big wishes, first experiences, little mishaps, comfort and imagination—and pair them with musical styles that grown-ups recognize.

Instead of treating children's music as a separate musical world, Kayla brings elements of vintage swing, big band, country, folk and other classic sounds into songs written from a child's perspective.

Her growing catalog includes Mamma I Need a Moo Moo Cow, I Went on an Airplane, and Boo Boo Song.

At the center of the project is one simple idea:

Kids imagine. Grown-ups remember.
